October 21
The band has decided to change it's name from Joe Mazzari Band to Flight 19.

Work on Joe's acoustic cd is progressing nicely and recording is being done at Rocking Horse Studios in New Hampshire.

The band plays this Thursday at the Brickhouse in Dover and will be playing Halloween at the Legion in Epping.

Here's a few new items....
A second song from the Long Live the King cd has had airplay on a show on MTV.

Contrary to reports of a Johnny Thunders tribute night that have appeared in ads, the Daughters reunion / Walter Lure show is not happening. The new line up for the October 18 Cantab show is The Freeways, The Lyres, Joe Mazzari Band, and New Collisions.

Joe is still working on his acoustic cd, and will be performing a few songs from it on October 11th. This will take place at an outdoor event so hopefully the weather will be nice and he won't freeze his fingers off.

A couple shows have been added to the gigs page and the date for the Daughters reunion has been confirmed for October 18! The Daughters will be playing with Walture Lure, Red Invasion, and- tentatively scheduled at this moment in time -the Downbeat 5.

Lots of news right at the moment...

Anyone who frequented Boston rock clubs in the early 1980s may remember Joe, Bill Dougherty and Simon Ritt playing around town as The Daughters. The band has a reunion show planned for October, in which they'll be playing with Walture Lure (The Heartbreakers).

There are also plans for a documentary which will cover the band days playing in Boston, plus their experiences playing and traveling with Johnny Thunders, Jerry Nolan, and Walture Lure.

In other news, Joe, Bill, and drummer Carl Howard are picking up where the Joe Mazzari Band left off. No word yet on the name of the band, but they'll be playing out later this summer.

In Two Saints news- the guys just got back from playing two nights in New York.

Along with these projects, Joe has started working on an acoustic album, which should be released later this year.
